Examples of HAIs

HAIs can be caused by many different germs and include:

• Central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI)

• Catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI)

• Surgical site infections (SSI)

• Ventilator-associated pneumonia
